4th Company — The Oathbound
The Armoured Hurricane
Mobile Heavy Infantry specializing in rapid redeployment and fluid firelines.
Structured into flexible demi-companies designed to operate independently across vast distances.
The Chapter’s primary emergency response, reaching collapsing fronts before the enemy can exploit a breakthrough.
Masters of the Rolling Counter-Attack, utilizing Tacticus and Gravis infantry supported by swift motor-screens.
The 4th Company serves as a mobile reserve of the Knight-tier brotherhood. They ride to fill in the gaps and such as the dangerous, shifting territories between established battlefronts. The Oathbound are defined by their speed and tactical flexibility; they do not wait for the enemy to reach them, nor do they stay rooted in one position. Instead constantly shifting their weight to find and exploit the enemy’s weakest flank.
In the Chapter’s strategic doctrine, the 4th Company is often broken down into semi-autonomous demi-companies or mixed units. This allows the Oathbound to bolster multiple theaters at once. When a front line begins to buckle, the roar of the 4th Company’s engines signals that salvation has arrived. Their combat style is high-speed vehicle maneuvers followed by the heavy, disciplined foot-advance.

Deployment and Squad Types
The Oathbound are a mechanized spearhead. Every squad is assigned a transport or mount, ensuring the entire company can move at the speed.
Intercessors and Impulsor Transports
The core infantry of the 4th are their Intercessors, who utilize Impulsor grav-transports to leapfrog across the battlefield. Their primary role is to bolster failing flanks and to hold ground taken by the 3rd. Intercessors often find themselves on the move, shooting from firing decks or reloading on the move to the next emergency.
Hellblasters and Eradicators
The 4th Company maintains an unusually high concentration of Hellblasters. These plasma-specialists are the primary fire-strength of the company, used to provide mobile overwatch. By mounting Hellblasters in Repulsors and Impulsors, the Oathbound can bring devastating firepower to any part of the battlefield in minutes. The Bolt Eradicators provide heavy, mobile Gravis support, specialized in long-range demolition of massed enemy infantry while on the move.
Outriders
The 18 Outriders of the 4th Company act as the eyes and teeth of the Oathbound. They range far ahead of the main force, harrying enemy scouts and drawing fire. When the counter-attack begins, the Outriders lead the charge, using their twin bolt rifles to sew chaos and create a corridor for other elements of the 4th to exploit.
The Role of their Captain: "Master of the Marches"
The Captain of the 4th Company is the Master of the Marches. He is the warden of the Chapter’s borders and the architect of its logistics. It is his duty to ensure that the Chapter’s strength can be projected wherever it is needed, regardless of the distance or the terrain.
Reflecting his role as a mobile commander, the Master of the Marches rarely stands still. He typically enters battle atop a Gryph-stalker: a fierce, agile predator native to the Chapter’s home system which symbolises his connection to the rugged frontier. When the mission requires overwhelming force, he instead commands from the cupola of a customized Repulsor Executioner, leading his Battle Brothers from the very front of the armored column.
